Commitment Process

We at, SEEK Homeschool Families, recognize that we are not a fit for every family. We are a group in which parents are required to serve on campus - teaching, and volunteering in key positions - one day a week for 30-weeks each school year. Additionally, we ask for a further dedication of time to the organized and implementation of social engagements. We use the commitment process as a time in which your family can get to know all about us, and we can get to know more about you, before asking for a commitment.

What does the commitment process consist of:

  • A Visit. SEEK Homeschool Families requires that all prospective families visit our campus while we are in session so they may take a tour of our facility seeing first-hand what we do and how we do it. You cannot move forward into the commitment process until a visit has been completed. Email us at SEEKhomeschoollubbock@gmail.com to set up a campus visit.

An interview. After visiting our campus, you will be sent a copy of our handbook, and family abilities survey, and asked to complete an in-person family interview. This is your opportunity to ask clarifying questions about how we function, and for us to get to know you!

An application & a background check. Following the family interview, prospective families will be sent the application (including references), and background check authorization form. Completed forms should be returned to SEEK Homeschool Families WITH FEES on or before March 15th. Note: Family commitment is not confirmed until the background check is approved and the required child safety training has been completed with a passing score on the exam.

An invitation to join! At this point, you will receive a formal invitation to join SEEK Homeschool Families! We will enter your family’s information into our database, help you find a volunteer position, and send you class/event registration instructions.
